But if I don’t make it to the front row I would be just as happy backstage coordinating the show. I have coordinated two fashion shows in the past through the International Fashion Society but nothing to the magnitude of this one. I was intrigued by the choreography of the show and I feel that I have much to learn about the coordination of high-end fashion shows. I would have loved to have been backstage during the show to see how they were able to work as a team to make the show a success.

Now let’s talk fashion! Iceberg’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection included a lot of grey, notched lapel blazers, loose gauge knits, raw salvage edge t shirts, and mandarin collars. The combination of the thin raw edge t-shirts paired with the tailored blazer was my favorite. I loved the mixture of casual streetwear and professional clothing. I was able to identify these design details due to retail lab and apparel quality and analysis. These terms allow me to pick out the details shown in collections and allow me to speak intelligently when describing clothing. I look forward to improving my fashion vocabulary in the future.
