Art vs. Fashion - Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli

-Flower at Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli
-Afghan Spring/Summer 2012

Artifact:
The flower shown above was located at Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli in Milan. It was designed by the 18th century architect, Giuseppe Piermarini. It has since been enlarged and improved over the years. It is also home to the Hoepli Planetarium and the Museo di Storia Naturale. For the residents of Milan it is a great place to take their kids, walk their dogs, or escape from the face paced life of the city.
Fashion:
The neckwear shown above is from Afghan’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection. The collection was made up of vibrant colors and loud floral patterns toned down with white accents. The necklace shown above gave the collection an avant-garde feel and similar pieces were shown in models hair as well. The inspiration for the collection was bright colors and flowing pieces that represented their environmental influence.
Art vs. Fashion:

The shape and color of the berry’s all linked together created the same shape of the necklace shown in Afghan’s collection. The texture is also related with the smooth sides and peaked ends. The cluster of the balls is identical in both as well.
